“Music is the universal language of mankind.”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.Music brings about the revelation of my interest in composing, just
— as naturally, yet particularly as —
the way it conveys a narrative in its own language.
Regardless of it being films, TVC or video games,
how music helps portray the mood, tone & the atmosphere, create the feeling, illustrate and connect the scenes, the characters & other elements, deliver the emotion, and enhance the drama,
is, to me, simply astounding.
In films, music plays into emotions & intensifies the overall impact of visuals more than we may conceive. It helps the audience shape their cinematic perception of visual imagery on screen. Film Scoring is a way of telling a story through a special “language”.
Ennio Morricone, Thomas Newman, James Horner, Nobue Uematsu, Alan Silvestry,… are remarkable names of those I immensely admire.
And all that, hopefully, explains my passion for composing.
And the pursuit to be a film composer
